Vegas Vacay

We apologize for the long delay between posts, but life sure gets busy really fast! For a quick update, Lauren has been working at Raley’s and subbing since September, and Brian is still working hard at Adtech. We had a wonderful first Christmas, and am looking forward to our first anniversary in a few short months! In the meantime, here’s a little bit about our recent vacay!

Vegas, NV! Doesn’t the name just say it all?

We were fortunate enough to have Brian’s boss, Jim, fly us in his little baby plane. Lauren realized all over again how much she hates flying, especially in a little plane. As a copilot though, it was nice to actually see where the plane was going instead of flying blinde. Avoiding the metal detectors and checking your luggage was also a definate plus.  Brian can probably convince her to do it again.

Takeoff!

Takeoff!

We stayed in the Luxor, the hotel that’s shaped like a pyramid. Soooo cool inside, with all the engineering that had to take place. The elevators were actually inclinators, so we went sideways instead of up and down.

Success!

We did it! The Hosmer/Moraca wedding was a huge success and we are so greatful.

We would like to thank our parents, our maids of honor, and Father John Galvin for traveling all the way from the Solomon Islands to celebrate our marriage. We were not only his first family wedding he has celebrated, but also his first family wedding he has ever attended! Thank you so much for being our Celebrant, Uncle John.

Our honeymoon turned out to be a fantastic experience. We stayed at Lahaina in Maui, and enjoyed scuba diving, zip lining, snorkeling, fine dining, and surviving the Highway to Hana! We can’t wait to go again.

Pictures will be following shortly in a new “gallery” that Brian’s going to install. There will be many pictures to look at, so keep in touch!

Batchelorette Party!

Helooooo everyone!

I’m so excited that people are looking and complimenting on our wedding website!

The latest instalment of the Hosmer/Moraca saga: The Batchelorette Party!

My maids of honor, Molly and Berta, planned this CRAZY weekend for me. By the way, I had no idea what was planned, it was all a surprise.

First, we went to Great America. I was told to dress in FAB 80s attire.

Throughout the park, people were yelling my name…

…but mostly, they just stared.

Then, we had a night on the town, where I wore some questionable accessories…

…and did some questionable things!

The next day, we had a lovely ladies luncheon at a tea house!

The Bridal Shower

The bridal shower was held at the Gianellie household last Saturday. Like a picture out of Martha Stuart Magazine, everything was color cordinated to the last detail. The theme was Bridal “Shower” with umbrellas galore!

I never realized how many women cared about me until they were all gathered in one house, wishing me the best and giving me advice. “Kiss often.” “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

The bridesmaids were all there, scheming about the batchelorette party and giggling like school girls.

As for the gifts, my mom expressed it as “You made a killing!”

Both Brian and I are so thankful for our friends and family who want to celebrate our union. Linda and Robin’s generosity and artistic touch made it one of the best days ever.
