The Life of a DIY Wife

Dollar Store Guide

One of the worst feelings anyone can get. You spend your hard-earned pennies on a crucial item for your project, only to realize later that  it was ready and available for a buck.

To try and end such a delema, I have started a list of things to look for at the dollar store FIRST. I say first, because as they advertise, many things are only weekly products, and change often.

Another disclaimer: quality is always questionable when it comes to spending a mere dollar. But in a crafter’s world, for a project you are trying for the first time and may never do again, spending a dollar is an easier risk than spending $4 on a pair of wire cutters you may never use again because making jewelry flairs your arthritis.

Wire Cutter
Fake flowers {I can not stress this enough. They may not have as big a selection as they do at Michael’s, but it’s totally worth the look.}
Foam balls, disks, blocks, green foam blocks, green floral blocks
Vases
Baskets
Popsicle Sticks
Picture Frames {Another product I can’t stress enough. Trust me people, it’s worth the look!}
Wall Stickers
Kids’ Foam Stickers
Glitter Glue
Glue Sticks (Elmer’s 3 Pack)
Super Glue
Glass Rocks
Tealight Candles
Flameless Tealight Candles
Ribbon

Any other suggestions??? Let me know!
